Diplomatic Protocol

This course introduces students to the basic principles and practices of diplomatic protocol and prepares them to understand and apply proper behavior in official and international settings. It is designed for undergraduate students and focuses on building clear understanding and practical skills.
The course explains how diplomatic protocol works in real life, including how officials communicate, how meetings are organized, and how formal events are conducted. Students will learn the rules of etiquette, hierarchy, and representation in diplomacy.
Special attention is given to practical examples from international relations, including the Horn of Africa and global diplomacy. Students will be guided step by step to understand how diplomats act, communicate, and represent their countries.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and apply basic diplomatic protocol in real situations with confidence and professionalism.
