Introduction to International and Regional Organizations

This course provides a foundational understanding of international and regional organizations, focusing on their roles, structures, and impact in global governance. Students will explore how these organizations promote cooperation, maintain peace and security, support economic development, and address global challenges such as climate change, human rights, and conflict resolution.

The course examines major international organizations such as the United Nations system, as well as regional organizations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Emphasis is placed on understanding their functions, decision-making processes, and influence on member states.
